Busy as a bee wrote: | I know people don't need for a year. but you can use it for as long as you like.
The point is to be able to look at the beginning of the week and have suppers for the week planned.
I don't know about you but being a full time mother, employee, and student I can't be running to the grocery every day. This way I can do my shopping once for the whole week and be done with it.
I know people want the whole cookbook concept but let's start with getting weekly menus and then go from there. I would love to be able to make such a thing and maybe with the help of the mother who offered we can but I start small.
I think I'm gonna see how many contributors I get this month and hopefully send it out first week of October.
I am constantly seeing people asking for supper ideas or what goes with what. Hopefully, with this, it will make all of our lives easier.

can I please please please type it up for you? I dont really have any recipe ideas, so this could be my contribution.

Ra_Mom Are the recipes all all ready on imamother? I know some of them definitely sound familiar.
AcccDac, things like 'Lilys chicken" you might want to post the recipe since otherwise the rest of us have no idea what you mean/how to cook this.

Sunday

Monday

Is this for commercial use, I.e. to publish or sell in some form? Because lots of the recipes I use come from other posters here or from the internet.

Yes, Auntie Em you are correct.
I don't want to have too look up recipes or put different sides and salads together.
The point is that everyone does one week and then gets back 50 weeks of the same.
And yes, there may be some weeks with days that are not to your taste, or not in your price range but that's why I want 50 weeks so there is flexibility!
Example of how it should be:
Sunday:
Roasted Red Pepper Pasta
Parmesan Basil Fries
Greek Salad
Roasted Red Pepper Pasta:
Ingredients
12 ounces, weight Pasta Of Your Choice (I Prefer Short Ones Like Rigatoni, Penne, Etc.)
4 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 whole Large Onion, Finely Diced
3 cloves Garlic, Minced
1 jar (15.5 Ounces) Roasted Red Peppers, Drained And Roughly Chopped
1 cup Vegetable Or Chicken Broth
1/2 teaspoon Salt, More To Taste
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/2 cup Heavy Cream (more To Taste)
1/2 cup Parmesan Shavings (more For Serving)
Finely Minced Parsley
Chopped Fresh Basil (if You Have It!)
Preparation Instructions
Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and garlic and saute for 2 to 3 minutes or until starting to soften. Add the chopped red peppers and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until hot.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Carefully transfer the contents of the skillet to a food processor or blender. Place on the lid and puree the pepper mixture until totally blended (there will still be some texture to the peppers.)
Heat the other 2 tablespoon butter back to the skillet over medium heat. Pour the pepper puree back into the skillet. Add the broth, salt, and pepper, and stir until heated. Splash in the cream and stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings if you need to.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Add Parmesan and parsley/basil, then stir it together to coat the pasta.
Serve in bowls with extra Parmesan and a sprinkling of parsley on top.
Basil Parmesan Fries:
Cut up potatoes with skins into wedges
Pour boiling water on top
let sit for 20- 30 min (this gets the starch out and lets them get crunchy)
dry off
mix with 1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons of basil
1/4 cup Parmesan (or more if you like)
salt and pepper to taste
spread out on tin pan and bake at 450 for 20-30 min
Greek Salad:
Romaine Lettuce
Black olives
Good Feta Cheese (sheeps not cows)
Purple onion
Tomato
Cut up all vegtables (onions diced small)
If desired pour some Zatar (an Israeli Spice) into a bag with the feta cheese and crumble
put et into a bowl and dress with olive oil, squirt of lemon juice, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and a tiny bit of salt.
Serve!
Yes its long and annoying but do it for 1 week and get 50 weeks like this back I think its great!
Anyone who emailed me not in this format can you please resend?

Nope!
It will be sent out to the other contributors but for free.
The only payment is a week of recipes of your own

Okay, sounds good. I almost never serve salad during the week, unless it's instead of a vegetable side dish. But I can definitely put "green salad" or "Israeli salad" alongside each night's menu.

I love this idea and will email you when I get a chance.
I make a lot of one dish suppers with vegetable protien and starch included. Do these count or it has to be separate foods?

I would like to put in a suggestion,
I like to know what type of food I am preparing, for example on Mondays I will serve chicken. and on Tuesday I will serve ground meat, on wednesday cutlets and on Thursday fish
If you create a cookbook divided by type of food, for example, 25 ways to cook chicken, 25 ways to bake chicken, 25 ways to cook cutlets, etc...
you get the idea?!
