Ok, ok, now I belive you.. if it wasnt true.. then you wouldnt have known all those yiddish words..

I don't think it's bad to make a joke.. I don't mean being a לץ ח"ו

but is there s/thing wrong with having a sense of humor??

Momoftwins.. I don't know if there's a yiddish dictionary online.. but there is a real dictionary that translates from english to yiddish and vice verse.. it uses a lot of hebrew words too.

acually a stamp to send out mail is called a post marke, if I'm not mistaken.. shtempel would rather mean a stamp that u dip in ink.

I speak, read and write yiddish. I try to talk to my kids in yiddish so that they'll know it too but it ends up being more of yinglish.

I keep reminding my children every time our Russian babysitter comes to our house, “you see children? She comes to America and she finds a job right away, you know why? Because she speaks Yiddish!”. For me , it’s part of my Mesorah, it’s a very important thing for me. I know that many women actually know Yiddish, but do not pass this beautiful tradition on to their children. I figured I’d make this poll.

There used to be this great place on Coney Island Avenue called 'Bissela", israeli, yum. I can't find them anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
