DH wears a bekeshe- not 100% silk. Can I wash it at home. (I am not sure if it is fully lined- I will check)
Thank you.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Especially not a lined one. The one time I tried something like that the lining shrank and the whole thing looked so bad we had to throw it out.

I wouldn't risk it. DH insists on dry cleaning only, and he's been taking care of his own laundry for a long, long time.

For silk, I would stick with drycleaning. I wash my DH's fully lined bekeshes in our front loading washing machine, but they aren't silk. Smile

How what settings?
To be clear this is a bekeshe not a tish chalet. (wink)

Thank you!

Yeah, his tish bekeshe isn't fully lined and it made to be washed, but we do wash both the same way.

As I said, for silk, stick with dry cleaning.

My DH's bekeshe goes in on the hand wash cycle on cold by itself with regular detergent. It gets hung promptly to dry.

My washing machine has a setting for no spinning, do I set it on that or on 600 (lowest spinning cycle)
THanks again, sorry for so many questions.

My lowest spin cycle, the one I use, is 400.
