I dont want to add from the top
just from the bottom
as it has nice waist trimming too
and you can see it as the top is open a bit

I have the same problem
I know you don't want to add to the top, but maybe you would have an easier time matching the fabric from the bow on the top and adding it to the top of the skirt?

ahh- so imitate the pattern it goes lines black crochet. lines black crochet.
so take off the crochet from the bottom, sew on a black peice resew the crochet to cover the sewing line, and then embellish it with more lines- I don't know what its made of so I can't help more.
but if you can't find more crochet fabric, then sew on lie of trim directly on the seam. then add afew more lines and add the removed crochet to the bottom. make sense?

Why bother Finkel ... if you're always sewing ... might as well start from scratch ... then you will not have any problem matching ...
otherwise a good trick would be to get 2 skirts and use bottom half of 2nd to lengthen ... if $$ is not an issue

Who posted this before - was it you, Finkel, about an outfit for a girl, that you wanted to buy two skirts and have the tailor make it longer?
Maybe there were other good suggestins on that thread!

was get first yards of ribbon the same as the belt of the top
and thats 1.5 inches already
then 2 inches of black crochet which will be attached to the bottom of the ribbon....
total for outfit with alterations ( including the discount I got onine )
is 220 $ thats not too bad
