I have tons of good oranges at home so I decided to search for a recipe for an orange cake.
I opened one of my Pesach cook books and found one.
As I started making it -things didnt make sense to me.too much liquids too little solids.
The cake is in the oven now-please please-I hope it will come out delish!

Take it out of the oven, put it in the freezer, have orange/egg ice cream. Eat it, gag, then throw it out.

withhumor ... I like your advice ... especially the gag and throw out ...
ten we all have to face the music ... not everything comes out good ...
now that pesach is over ... you can make something better ...
p.s. I love you even with your shortcomings

I commisserate. I still need to juice my remaining citrus and stick it in the freezer. my one pesach cake I attempted seperated into a meringue layer on top and this rich layer on the bottom that reminded me of gooey pecan pie filling. maybe you can make creamcicles with them now if you still hve oranges[/I]

cm's right. my freezer's too tiny. I use a juicer during the year though so it shouldn't be too difficult
oh and thanks for the tip anyway

My mother makes a white cake that calls for a cup of water. Sometimes she puts a cup of OJ in it & voila! It's orange cake!
