can I freeze large batches of tehchina dip (tehini paste, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic, water) or chummus dip.
How long. How does it look after? Does it taste the same. does it have to be mixed or can it be used straight from the freezer after defrosting?
I would like to give for purim and am wondering how in advance I can make it if possible and if I should store it in one big container or if I can freeze it in the individual containers I'm giving it in.

I won't freeze tehina. The oil separates and texture changes after being defrosted.
Chummous, I don't know. We always seem to finish it before having extra to freeze...

I freeze both, but I put in very little oil.

I freeze techina all the time in small batches. Defrosts fine. Dont know about chumus.

I buy commercial hummus and freeze it by popping the whole container into the freezer as is. Then I thaw it in the fridge before use. It's just fine.
