I'm interested in purchasing an electric juicer. What should I look for in a juicer? What should I be wary of in a juicer?

There are 2 types. One only does citrus fruits, and one does everything. Make sure you get the one you are interested in. It should also be easy to clean. It's nice if the juice comes out into a container that you can refrigerate. Our year round one does, but I just got a pesach one that doesn't. We have the kind where you can juice anything.

Thanks for responding; I didn't realize there are different juicers for different needs. I want it for juicing vegetables such as kale, celery, beets, carrots, parsley sprigs, etc.

I have a Breville that I am very happy with. I'm glad to respond. Lucky I was here. I don't come on that often anymore.

make sure it has a safety feature so you don't juice your fingers. cleaning is a biggie.

I have 2 types of Juicers: a manual one for citrus fruit, which is only 2 parts, and is such a breeze to clean. You know the type, with the handle that you pull down?

The second juicer, the kind you use for hard Fruits and Veggies, has like 8 different pieces!!! It is SUCH a pain to clean!!! I hardly ever use it now because of that...

Ooooooooh.... but, you just got me in the mood for a cold glass of Carrot Juice!!!!

If you're interested in juice extractors, the kind that does veg. juices, I've had a Champion for 25 years! (Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S )It doesn't die. It costs about 225.00 now, but I recommend it highly. I've heard that there's a machine called the Green Star (Green Star 3000 Juice Extractor ) that costs about 400.00 that is even more powerful.

My relatives here know which machine I have and how long I have it, which is why I'm anon (they don't know my username, and I want it that way).
