I'm really sorry, I have to post as amother since this is obviously a humiliating acknowledgement, that I actually serve baked beans in my house. If people knew who I was, it would destroy all of my shidduch chances! I only have 10 more years IYH to make a good impression on people.

But since it's anonymous, I'll admit that I serve baked beans:
- With taco shells
- On the side of hot dogs
- With hot dog chunks mixed in
- On the side of scrambled eggs and pasta
- For lunch when even sandwiches seems too overwhelming

But NEVER for Shabbos. Well, almost never. Sometimes in the crockpot for cholent.

How mortifying.

If it's Heinz I just eat it out of the can Smile

I Make a yummy soup using a can of baked beans, a can of corn and any other vegetables I happen to have.
I also serve it over rice sometimes and of course in a bun with hot dogs.

Edited after reading amother's post above:
I also make cholent out of it sometimes.

I don't serve them with anything.

I would like to, but I have usually eaten them first.

Smile

Seriously though, I get the vegetarian ones in a can, but unfortunately my most favorite snack of all time is crackers, cream cheese, and baked beans piled on top. It's a delicious, beautiful mess.
So they never make it long enough for the rest of the family to eat.

With toast and scrambled or fried egg with melted cheese, or on a baked potato.

My dh's version of comfort food, he adores baked beans. So English, he likes to have them on Sunday evening, or for brunch on Sunday morning after a very late night.
