I already give yogurts but only once or twice a week because they're expensive. The kids like nuts but they're getting sick of it. A couple of kids like cheese sticks. They don't want eggs or fish. Any other ideas?

Wow! Sounds like you're really doing well with their snacks. Wish I can say the same for myself!
If your kids school isn't 'nut-free' then I'd suggest varying the nuts. You can also make homemade granola with loads of different chopped nuts and seeds. My kids enjoy snacking on it if I fill a small sandwich bag with for them.

Protein bars (lots of recipes online to make, much cheaper than buying)
Peanutbutter - make sandwiches, or serve with apple slices
Peanut butter pretzels ( be careful, some brands high in salt)
For yogurt, it's usually cheaper to buy the big containers. Just put in your own reusable plastic container. That's what I do. Add fresh/dried fruit, nuts, jam...etc
Sandwiches with the vegetarian sandwich meat and cheese slices

Celery sticks with peanut or almond butter!
You can try taking mini peppers and stuff with egg or tuna salad
Carrots dipped in hummus

Crunchy chick peas- easy way is to drain one can well, toss with just a little olive oil and some spices of your choice (cumin, obviously ) and bake. Don't remember how long.

Mini quiches/kugels (if they are willing. Yo ucan make a whole lot in some muffin tins and freeze them, then just pull out a few the night before or in the mornings (they're small so they deforst quickly). They make great snacks, and the eggs and/or cheese in them provide protein.
Also, cottage cheese is higher in protein than yogurts, if that would work for you.
Lentil patties, if you think your kids would eat them.
Granola is also good

Yummy! I'm making this immediately. I like to use salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and cumin. Be careful because it burns easily.

You can use protein powder in baked goods. I purchased a dairy free / soy free / nut free container of protein powder.
