Help! I need a good recipe for kiddush for someone who doesn't want chocolate. Apple cakes don't get eaten fast enough to make it worth making. TIA!

make a sponge cake [gebrok or not] add ground almonds/walnuts to the fold - bake as usual

slice it in half & spread raspberry preserves in the center of the 2 - now you have a layer cake ...

We make chocolate chip cookies (with cake meal) specially for kiddush. It's the only gebrokst thing I bake.

I make some of my chocolate chip cookies without chips for my non chocolate eater. I also sometimes do a mock oatmeal cookie, or thumbprint cookies, apricot nut bars, blondies, or lemon meringue pie.
