I've got a great idea for a tv ... you get a large flat screen tv with a nice wooden frame hanging on the living room wall so that when you're watching it's a tv ... when your not it's a family portrait ... sort of like those digital frames - only big

Probably anything I can dream up already exists.

Is there a laundry folding machine? I want a washer-dryer-folder.

Or you can watch TV on your computer and use a screensaver with family portraits. Not exactly a chiddush...

Yup, I have a few of those. They come in a range of sizes. Only downside is you have to feed them 3 meals a day. And buy them clothes and shoes and pay for their braces...

this is what I'm talking about ... because then - it won't look like a tv to those who would rather say they don't have one ... & also for shabbos/yom tov well it looks neater more kovod for same

There's also another option for the people that want to hide the tv from kids/outsiders.
My dh installed in someones house a huge flatscreen tv and they had such a frame put around it and a canvas with a family picture that rolled up and down to cover/uncover the screen!

My dh actually asked them if they think their kids won't realize (it was in the master bedroom) they said they were doing it so as not to upset their parents who wouldn't like thet they were watching tv.
