I picked up some London broil on sale and have no idea what to do with it. I see a bunch of recipes that involve marinading and broiling the meat, but I don't want to make my oven fleishig. Can I use those recipes and cook it in a frying pan? Bake it?
Does it freeze?
(It's a 1.5 lb piece of meat that looks like a small roast. How can that cook in 10 minutes broiling? Won't the inside be raw?)

London broil makes excellent beef teriyaki -- that's a stovetop stir-fry dish.
Slice thin.
Marinate for at least 15 minutes in equal parts soy sauce, sugar, and either sake or wine.
Stir-fry in a wok (or frying pan), not more than 1/2 lb at a time.
Separately bring the marinade to a boil and serve as a sauce with the meat.
Excellent over rice.

It may require about 7 minutes broiling on each side, it sounds like a short time, but trust me, the meat gets cooked! I made the mistake of making it TOO well done in such a short time!

make corned beef! seriously yummy, and you boil it.

skip the saltpeter, it's unnecessary, unhealthy, and I'm sure you don't have it in your pantry. if you can't find certain ingredients, skip them or find a substitute in your pantry. this recipe is great.

RubberDucky, you slice it raw?
I'm going to skip the corned beef - it sounds delicious, but I can buy corned beef if I want corned beef
Any freezable recipes? How well does it reheat?

Yes, I slice it raw. Thin slices, against the grain, like for pepper steak.
