Do you also give a gift if you host or sponsor a shiva brachas? Friday night, about 60 to 80 people. Because no one can accommodate that large a crowd for a sit-down meal, would need to be in shul. Estimated cost $500 per sponsoring family. No possibility of inviting fewer people.

I just made a Sheva brachot for someone. Gave a very nice gift and Sheva brachot ended up to cost more than 400 dollars I hope they appreciated it.

I am the above . I ended up making the Sheva brachot with a few people, but only one person helped by making one small side dish. At the end I paid for everything It was beautiful but expensive, next time I will do it differently.
