Its only a matter of personal style. I wouldnt do it, but since you say you clean the table afterwards...

BTW, there is this handy little thing called a crumb buster that helps to get crums intoa pile and off the table ..its a tiny little piece of curved metal. good for year-round (great for pesach!)

Do you clean the broom between sweeping the floor and sweeping the table?

I have a mini-broom/dustpan that is designated specifically for the table and counters.

sorry I think thats disgusting, the broom is dirty after the floor with all kinds of bacteria and such which should not be on your table. and windex is not such a good cleaner I think, at least I dont like it on surface I like it better on windows.

I suppose if you really really clean it and you dont use the broom to sweep the floor or what not then it might not be so bad. but the idea of using a broom which might of been used to sweep the floor and then used on the table, you might as well eat from the floor, its just unsanitary I would think.

maybe you can use a papertowel to wipe the stuff from the table to the floor, if you don't want to buy a special mini broom for the table?

If you ask what we think ... you have to take the criticism ... most people will find it gross ... no matter how clean your broom or your floors or your socks are ... it is just simply gross!!!

If the broom doesn't go on the floor, ok. If it goes, yuck.
