I am looking for a british honey cake, for lack of a better term :-)
My friend makes delicious honey cake but won't share the recipe. She's British LOL. Her recipe produces a light colored cake and doesn't have coffee in it.
Does anyone have a recipe like that?

Pinktichels honey cake is pretty light. I made it with tea.

Why would someone not share recipes?!
What sort of texture are you after, light and fluffy or heavy and moist?

It's ok, its her special recipe. She's awesome otherwise :-)
Hers is lighter and fluffier but not like a sponge cake. It has some density to it. Its also very moist.
