Having a boy iyh... and cannot think of one name that we like! Any name that we might possibly like- there are like 15 nephews with that name.
Any ideas? Nothing exotic, but I don't love the generic Avraham Yitzchok... (Especially being that my husband is one, FIL another..)

There are shmillions of names out there. Haven't you checked out any of the Jewish/Hebrew baby naming books? It might help if you gave some info about yourself. Gal Ziv is not going to go over real big if you live in a religiously RW community, and Kalman Zisha will get you laughed out of an MO/DL one. Are you looking for something with religious significance, like Kadish or someone from Tanach or the Talmud (I'm rather fond of Rabbi Yishmael, myself; I think he may have had a very hard time as a kid), something from nature like Ilan, something traditional but not utterly hackneyed, like Elimelech, something obviously modern like Sivan, something very short like Zvi, something that reads the same in Hebrew and English like Daniel, do you prefer to avoid "ch" and "r" sounds, what?

Honestly I have no idea. I have listed all the names that I know in my head, from Avraham Yitzchak Yaakov Yosef Moshe Aharon etc, to the newer Gavriel Refael Netanel, to the..... and nothing excites me.
Like I said, nothing trendy like Iyal or AviBenShai etc.... I don't know what I like. I have gone through all the biblical names, and really there is someone already in our families with those names.
I wouldn't necessarily avoid the "CH" names.

I am crazy over the names Elyakim and Yair.
I also really like the name Gavriel, which is my brother's name and is why I am anonymous. I never knew that it was considered a new name.

When are you due? We can also suggest names for that time of year etc.
aish.com has a list to start with. not very long tho, but covers the basics and then some. you can also open a tnach and start going through it for names that speak to you- either in the parshios near when you are due or just stam. there are some "newer" sounding names in tanach that you may like. (but are obviously not all that new-Gavriel and Refael are not "new/modern" names for instance)

RU serious? These are not new names! Two of them are names of archangels, whose creation presumably preceded the creation of humankind, for goodness' sake. and Netanel ben Tzuar was a prince of the tribe of Issachar. Not a superstar like Avraham, Moshe, David et. al. but not exactly chopped liver.

Hon, you need to get a book. No book will have every possible name, but try
Complete Book of Hebrew Baby Names
by Smadar S. Sidi
or Best Baby Names for Jewish Children by Alfred J. Kolatch

So? I have cookbooks that contain recipes for roasted pork butt with sour cream, but I have sufficient intelligence not to use them.

I don't know about "adolph" but I once heard a story that someone name his daughter "Zona" after "mazon"=sustenence--which is technically what Zona means anyway

There are countless Biblical names for boys! I'm surprised that you have family members with all those names.
Give some examples of names that you do like so we can offer similar names.
Does your husband have any names that he likes?

Adolphe/Adolf/Adolfo is pretty classic (though unpretty to me) in European jews of those times.
My dh's cousin is Adolfo for his grandfather. I assume Aaron or Avraham. Goes by Fofo.

It sounds like you've been through all the "common" biblical names and what you are looking for is something less out there.
Elishama
Yishai
Avigdor
Boaz
Sar (okay, not a name AFAIK but a word)
Asaf
Eitan
Hoshea
Zerach
Peretz
Amram
Any of these work?
