I wish I could stay home but that is not an option now. Do you think it is better to send your 3 month old infant to a daycare center, a babysitter that has a few kiddos but not watching her own, or a stay at home mom that is watching her own kid. I found a mom who is willing to watch my baby. Her price would be six dollars an hour and she has a baby of her own that is 11 months old. I am unsure why I am hesitant to send to a SAHM, maybe because I feel like she may always focus on her own kid. Daycare programs are probably not better. What are your thoughts about SAHM moms that turn into babysitters for the money?

How many babies does the babysitter watch, how old are they, and does she have help?

there is no blanket rule. it depends more on the babysitters personality.
is she loving and warm? does she take good care of her own child? these are indications of a good babysitter.
personally I send to a daycare center that has super warm babysitters who work there. I am very happy with the care my baby gets.
