How to communicate with child

This is my firs son that I am trainig, DH does not let me use certain words to my son, really don't think there is any problem with speaking openly so that my child should understand, does anyone else have this problem?

DH claims it has an effect on the child when he gets older, never heard such a thing!

Yes, it will have an effect on him when he is older if he cannot identify his body parts or body functions.

I don't know what to say with regard to your DH not wanting you to give your child an anatomy lesson. I will say that I was able to toilet train my children by pointing and showing as opposed to giving them names. I also used very generic words like "wet" or "dirty" so that the child has a way of telling you what happened. Don't know if this is what you are looking for but hope it helps.
