Is there something that you can connect mp3 to speakers to have it play out loud?

Any music system or set of speakers that can handle aux wires can play music off any mp3 player.
An aux wire is a simple wire with both sides ending in the part that gets plugged into a headphone jack. (I'm sure there's a fancy word for it...)
Any portable speaker should also be able to be plugged directly into the headphone jack.

so I can use old computer speakers and that should work or do I need a specific kind of speakers??

If the mp3 player has battery power, and the speakers do not need more juice than the player can provide, it should work.
But I also bought cheap speakers for the kids. Five-ten dollars, even cheaper ones in closout places.

I bought a cheap speaker piece in Best Buy for around $10. It connects to my DD's IPOD and we all enjoy music.
