Looking for a tablecloth that can be wiped down after a meal but also can be thrown into the washing machine. I currently have vinyl ones, that can be wiped down but get kind of messed up when I try to wash them (and even with the wiping clean, residue/stains build up).
The easier it is to clean, the better -- it WILL get badly stained.
Any ideas? Thanks!

How about using placemats instead? That's what I do. Much easier to wipe down and it gets less dirty since it doesn't hang over the edge.

Are you talking vinyl ones with flannel back.
I put mine in the washing machine.
The gentlest cycle and NO spin
Hang and let it drip dry.
My washing machine is front load, I don't know if this would work with top load machines with the tube in the middle.

bumping because I am looking for something similar. I want something that looks nice, but is still kid and mother-addicted-to-big-mugs-of-coffee (that have been known to drip) friendly.
I really like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041.....psc=1
but can't tell if it is _really_ spill proof or not
