My child is hearing impaired and we’ve been everywhere.
The ENT looks for the cause of the hearing loss and works with the very medical aspects - tubes, adenoid/tonsil removal, etc. I use Dr. Kazahaya with CHOP, he’s fantastic. Dr. Engel takes more insurances since CHOP stopped taking UHC, I’ve heard mixed reviews.
The audiologist does the hearing tests, prescribes hearing aids, and works more with the hearing.
Dr. Boyer in Kimball is great with newborns and is good for an initial eval. Anything more, go further.
Dr. Enock is incredibly nice and dispenses hearing aids, most kids in Lakewood get their aids from him. He always defers to Dr. Kader for diagnosis; she is more experienced than him.
Dr. Kader is the absolute expert audiologist, as someone else said, 90-95% of hearing impaired kids in Lakewood use her.

I took my daughter to Dr Sandra Kuhn in West Long Branch. She came highly recommended. I liked her.
