In front of a large Los Angeles crowd, Sima Yarmush publicly told her story. For the first time.
Sima represents a wave of a new generation in the religious community that will no longer tolerate silence and cover ups. This is her full uncut speech at the Jewish Community Watch event in Los Angeles.

Kol hakavod. Amazingly brave.
I was so impressed by her talk, she spoke so eloquently, was so composed and spoke with so much power.
I didn't hear her name the abuser, but I think you could find him on the organization's website.

She is very brave.
I have a question, though. Why can she name the four rabbis but not her abuser? In a crowd of people who are well-acquainted with these rabbis?

Her abuser was not charged. I believe that's why neither she nor the media are naming him.
But it's pretty easy to figure out.

You're right. And he actually is on the Wall of Shame, I found him. Did you notice that his website doesn't have a single mention of his name, though?

Edited to add: I guess that is his father's name and picture listed on the website.

Shocking that someone from such a nice family can do this....
His father was a really well liked person, maybe it's good he's not around to see this....
Kudos to Sima for coming out publicly, I'm very impressed, she's very brave!
I'm shocked about the Rabbi's being so uncaring as I know Rabbi Shusterman and he is known to be level headed and smart. I don't know any of the other Rabbis.
Scary how she was scared to tell anything in therapy, what can we do as parents to help our kids in a crisis?
I talk and talk about safety and not having secrets etc, but kids are kids, scary world out there

I know all four Rabbis (Rabbi Shusterman not so much) and frankly I am shocked.
