I would remark any rice should be well rinsed, in a wire mesh strainer, before cooking. Otherwise it spits starch while cooking.

Also, measure the water to rice ratio with accuracy. Two waters to one rice. If the measuring is inaccurate, it confuses the machine's sensors.

Once you do that, it's a great machine.
