Hi,
So my son is almost 2. Up until now we went thru two pairs of shoes, and it looks like we may need another fir the summer.
Im of those that think shoes for little kids are really important, and worth the investment. Both pairs were Stride Rite.
Curious if any sandals are made with good quality and support erctc. Only names I heard are Geox, stride rite, salt water?
Don't know anything about then though. Which is a good company for sandals-and if you know General pricing?
Please share,
Thanks

The salt water sandles are supportive and easy to clean. (and so cute with little toes) They run about $30-35 a pair.

I love stride rite's sandals--good price, good quality--almost too good--I hate when summer ends and we say good bye to a still-decent pair that he will out grow by next year, good support, and protects toes (I don't like open toe sandals, little toes are too delicate). My 18-month old son was even able to take them off and put them on by himself (he forgot how the next year --go figure ) I usually get them at their BOGO sales in the spring.

Keen and Teva also make excellent sports sandals. Try 6pm.com for sales. Both tend to run a little big relative to usual shoe size.

At this age I prefer closed toe. I got Timberland ones that were VERY flexible http://amzn.to/1IxKQIN and they had a 20% off coupon code, not sure if they still do. Only caveat is that these do not velcro, but you open them wide via the stretchy bungee. I find it easy enough to get on my son's feet (he's almost 20 months).
Not all Timberland are flexible BTW.
I had also gotten these http://amzn.to/1QDPuIa which were amazingly flexible and I really wanted to keep them but he needed a half size smaller and they only came in whole sizes. I also got these with the same 20% off coupon if it's still around.
I saw some nice looking sandals at Sam's Club today but I didn't check them out since we had already...

The ones I posted listed waterproof as features, so I felt they were safe enough to get for water play (but I wouldn't have my son go into a pool in them most likely).
