If I fry an egg in the morning in a bit of olive oil, and leave the pan covered on the stove all day, do I need to wash it out if I want to make another egg that afternoon/evening? The pan is non-stick, so it looks clean other than the leftover oil. What about the next morning? Anyone have any knowledge/experience? Thanks!

I was worried about either old used oil left out of the fridge or issues from old egg residue. I just never feel like washing the pan before I use it since it looks so clean and conveniently pre-oiled. So this really wouldn't be an issue for anyone? I may start making more eggs!

If it's cast iron, I'd use it. I never wash mine, just wipe it off after each use. It's beautifully seasoned.

I wouldn't wash it with soap and water, but I would probably wipe out the old oil and egg remnants with a paper towel. Never thought about it because I always dump used kitchen stuff into the sink with warm water to soak immediately after using.
