Alive- by Mordechai Weinberger lcsw, is a great book. It is geared for teenagers and beyond. It teaches a lot about life. It gives the tools how to handle life. It would be addressing underlying issues as opposed to being a "communication book"
I read parts of it, and I believe it can help someone like this understand himself and his surroundings better, leading to better communication.
