makes me feel a bit hyper, I start talking fast and my teeth are chattery. Then, a few hours later, I feel like I am having a hypoglycemic attack, all shaky, sweaty and faint and feeling like I need to stuff my mouth with any food I can get my hands on.

It wakes me up for about 2-3 hours. Makes me jittery and anxious then I crash, so pretty much never drink coffee

Coming from someone with a name like ice coffee.
I try to avoid caffeine so only have decaf around. I don't particularly go for coffee though so I'll only have a cuppa once in a blue moon. I'm not really that much of a hot-drink-person but has nobody heard of cocoa or tea?

Coffee on the go is for the caffeine. But relaxing coffee is different You need both in life ("All work and no play makes DH a dull boy" ) |
No offense meant. Just pointing out that those who don't drink coffee or are trying to quit don't have to lose this.
I do know a lot of tea people. My parents guzzled coffee in the morning and relaxed over tea in the evening.
I do find it interesting that a benefit of coffee is the setting of drinking it vs the drink itself. So many things are like that.

It helps me relax at my computer at the start of the day.
I'm always sorry when my first cup is done.

Exactly how I feel.
Must be the addictive part of the caffeine.
