The name "Milli" - what would this be derived from or short for in ? Hebrew ? Yiddish. It's the daughter of a very frum couple and I'm confident it would have some Torah/Tanach/biblical basis.

Maybe Milka, a Hebrew name. She was one of the daughters of Tzelfchad.
Or it could be Mee Lee, a modern Israeli name. It means, "who is for me", as in Hillel's statement, "Im ein ani li mili?" - If I am not for myself, who is for me?
Might she be carrying the English name Millie of an ancestor?

Maybe it's a combo of two names, like miriam Leiba? Or something like that? I've heard ppl who combine the beginnings of 2 names to be the nickname, like moyo for Moshe yosef.
