Is there any way to salvage the black velvet lined yarmulkas that have somehow made it through the washer AND dryer? They come out misshapen and the velvet and lining seem to shrink to different proportions.
Anyone?

Rewash and put on a sheitel head to dry. It should dry in the correct shape and proportion. I've intentionally washed black velvet yarmulkes many times and they've always come out nice.

If rewashing doesn't work, you can try cutting out the lining. I do it sometimes so they stay on better. The fit might be a bit different, but if you can't get it back anyway, seems worth a shot.
