Hi, does anyone have a recipe how to make poppy filling (the gooey ones that go into hamantaschen or yeast cake/kokosh cake) from scratch? I have (blue) poppy seeds, sugar, brown sugar, honey, vanilla in the cupboard. I prefer not to use corn syrup or glucose.

I just noticed this. I put my seeds in a shallow pan with an inch water and then add honey and I slowly cook it down. You can adjust the consistency by adding more seeds. I wish I could give you a formula/recipe but I learned from my Great Aunt.
