Started new job and need babysitter for my kids, but until I get paid myself I can't pay really pay a babysitter. Is it acceptable to ask a babysitter to wait to get paid until I do?

When I was in that situation, I paid the sitter either weekly or bi weekly. So after getting my first check, I wrote out one for the sitter. Does she expect to get paid per day?

Former babysitter here: yes, you can definitely ask her. Some babysitters are more flexible than others, I personally had a different cheshbon with each parent, some parents preferred weekly, some biweekly and some monthly.
