So I started my summer course today..

The professor got up and put a jar on her desk

Swearing is $.25
Cell phone use is $.75

At the end of the semester we will have a party with the money made.

I went up to her, "professor I have to keep my phone on vibrate."

She looks me up and down, "why?"

me, "well I am a single mother of three so I have to be avail incase of emergency."

she looks me up and down again, "you do not look like your old enough to have kids let alone three."

me, "well such is life and I want to finish my degree so that's the way it goes."

Her, "good for you, now why ru in my class you seem to get this stuff."

Me, "politics about tranfering credits."

Professor laughs, and says I hear u.

Then she proceeded to hand out 4 chapters worth of homework due tomorrow! Also informs us that our first exam is tomorrow!

I always laugh when I get that comment (I'm 28 and look 20) b/c having two kids under age 3 seems to have aged me. What would these people say if they saw me when I was well rested?

Hate to break it to ya gals

But I get the same thing I think most if not all frum women do. whhha you have 18yr old teens and 3 yr old twins etc "you don't look that old Confused

are they all yours not adopted or from the same father" Rolling Eyes

.

It's b/c imo most people count having babies from 30 so ofcourse it doesn't seem to make sense.......................

hey since when can we ask people to change their names ... should I put in a few requests myself ... like I OWN THE COLOR GREEN if I confuse someones screename with my own - don't I have that right?!?!? Twisted Evil

I am 28, a woman at the gym I go to (a frum woman) who I frequently attend the same classes, finally got the guts the other day to say to me "how old are you?"

and I'm like guess. She says well, I would think 12, but I know you have a kid, so like 18.

She was floored when I told her my age! I get it all the time. People know I have 3 kids so they just can't fathom how old I am.

It drives me crazy!! People on the street will reprimand how I raise my kids, etc, and then one day it finally dawned on me because they think I am a young teenager who doesn't knwo what she is doing!!

oh, the woman then said, "where is your age?" or, something like that. Wasn't sure what I am supposed to have: grey hair, wrinkles? be a little taller maybe LOL

A month or so ago a lady came up to me and commented on my kids, and asked how old they were, and I said...and then she asked, and how old are you, 12? And I said, not much more. She chuckled, and then said, 'But you are 16, right?"
