Usually the groom says some words to the bride at the badeken and when he comes to take her to the chuppah. He lifts up her veil and tells her something and sometimes the woman says a few words too. What did your husband and you tell eachother at the badeken and when he came to take you to the chuppah?

he didnt say anything
in our community, the badeken is very serious, slow and moving Music...the chosson doesnt usually say anything to the kallah.
I do think it's nice for the chosson to say something though.

He told me later that he said 'hi, I missed you'. I couldn't hear a word at the time, just saw a huge smile on his face and his lips moving The look on his face was priceless - he's not an emotional person but I saw how happy he was in that moment. One of my favorite memories.

Same.
Actually, he didn't even "badek" me; the two fathers did that for him.

He didn't say anything. He kind of waved a bit shyly, and then said that passuk from Chaya Sarah (which I couldn't hear.)
Under the chuppah, he was pretty focused on davening, as was I, and we didn't really have a chance to talk to each other until yichud.

I don't remember. I actually don't remember my wedding much at all, except for the yichud room. No, not for the reason you think, get your minds out of the gutter It was the only point of the evening where there weren't a million things going on around around and a million people in my face. It was the only 10 minutes of the evening I was able to take in the moment and really treasure it.

My husband didn't even come to badeken. But he whispered something to me before we danced together the mitzvah tanz. I didnt hear what he said cuz the music was going. It sounded like he was giving me a bracha so I just said amen, and I never asked him later what he said. People thought he's going to kiss me because he bent over to whisper in my ear lol.

I've never heard of the chosson not doing the badeken. Is that common?
