My son attended Camp Uvelechtecha Vaderech almost 10 years ago, for 2 summers — the first 2 summers the camp existed. It is run by Rabbi Aryeh Berger. Here is a link to their website:

If you read the "Summer 2007 True Itinerary" toward the bottom of the page and see a reference to "heroes" of the night hike up the Grand Canyon — that was my kid!

My son attended camp marabu a few years ago and he really enjoyed it. Its a great camp which takes boys on some really amazing trips around the western United States
