Syed Farook is one of three suspected gunmen who attacked a center for the disabled, killing 14 and injuring more on Wednesday.

No because America is run by idiots and the media is so busy being politically correct they forget to report the truth.

Whether something can be classified as an act of terrorism is dependent on the motivation behind it, and not who committed it. As little is know regarding motivation, at this point it would be a shot in the dark to say either way.

And your point is that if he has a Muslim name he must be a terrorist?

Definitely not, but what makes some lean in the terrorist direction, is the perps' dress in total black just like ISIS. But time will tell.

A social services center seems like an odd target for a terrorist attack.

I guess we'll learn more as this unfolds.

The poll choices don't match the thread title, which doesn't match the contents of your initial post.

Do you want to know if this is terrorism?
If so, why say "Muslim or other terrorism" in the poll choices? Just say "terrorism."

Do you want to know if this is *Muslim* terrorism?
Again, if so, why say "Muslim or other terrorism" in the poll choices? Just say "Muslim terrorism."

On what basis are we being asked to predict information that is not yet known? Prophecy?

We wont be predicting too much longer....sounds like theyre getting the info...(he either went for a family Simcha (hee hee), or went for training, or went on vacation... but he did travel to the Middle East).

"Farook is said to have traveled to Saudi Arabia earlier this year and returned with a wife - and a baby followed"

Even if his motive was not terrorism at this time, he somehow had a stockpile of ammunition sitting and waiting for what? Terrorism probably.....

I suspect it was likely terrorism but no motive has been released to the public.

By the way, I missed the thread on the Planned Parenthood shooting that discusses whether it was terrorism and whose rhetoric is responsible for inciting Robert Dear's violence.... can someone link to it for me?

Personally I don't think it's terrorism, no group took responsibility for the attack, he just happened to be a Muslim.

Could be, however the fact that no group took responsibility means nothing.
Islamic terror is also lone attackers, incited by extremist ideology and emulating previous successful attacks, as we have seen all too well here in Israel over the past two months.

Liberal gun laws certainly make matters much worse and potentially much deadlier.
OTOH, there's no law that can stop terrorists from accessing knives, is there?
A fanatic bent on attacking will use any implement that can potentially kill.

Yes terrorism. The shooting at Planned Parenthood yesterday was also terrorism. The shooting in Charleston, SC was also terrorism.

Yes that's true but the sheer carnage of a gun attack like this one can't be replicated with a knife. We have had many many people here who were victims of knife attacks and survived. If I had to choose I would prefer to be at the scene of a knifing than a shooting.

Hate crimes and terrorism aren't the same thing. I agree the Charleston shooting was borderline, but eventually officials decided it wasn't terrorism.

I don't think it's clear yet (to the public, anyway) whether either of the recent shootings (planned parenthood or san bernadina) were terrorism.
