well I've been looking around my computer knowing I had hebrew ... but actually my son found it ... I tried to write the אב but the letters are too small ... something to do with the control panel ...

In all the newer versions, you can go to control panel and then languages and regions, and add in Hebrew, and then you can create shortcut keys to change from English to Hebrew.
The short cut I have is alt-shift, but you have to install the "Languages" and you don't have to install any other than the ones you want.

with Win 2k Start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional Options > At bottom make sure Hebrew is checked, let it install, then click on Input Locales and add Hebrew

su7kids-- thats only XP, in 2k it doesn't say languages
