I have been teaching on and off for the past 10 years (depending on babies). I have come to realize that although I do enjoy teaching, I KAH have my own kids and going from kids at home to kids at school then back home is pretty draining.
Lately I have been dreaming of a more "professional" career. But honestly I have no idea what this fantasy job is. Plus going back to school? With kids? yuck/scary! So what do you ladies think? Any awesome job ideas that are ideal for a mom? That don't require a lot of school? That pay well? Is this a crazy fantasy?? I hope its not cuz my situation has me pretty depressed lately.
thanks

Do you have a degree in Education? If you have a degree in Special Education then you can go back for another degree in Master's in School Administration and then you can supervise SEITS (special education teachers who service young children).

I do but honestly I think I would totally like to steer clear from education.

Becoming a tax preparer wouldn't take that long. And most programs you can donate your own rate.

I have an MAEd and had my midlife crisis in my 20's before kids.

For a while I WAS a tax advisor thinking about heading towards EA--- the pay was horrible (what do you mean donate your rate--- huh? I only stayed licensed/bonded for 4 years--- I enjoyed it but needed more money. By the way you usually need to pay for your own continuing ed and there is plenty of continuing ed.

I landed in direct sales and social media. Different from education, but more money per hour and a much more flexible schedule.

What about teaching, but not to children? Teaching a 12th grade/sem/college class?
