I have gotten beautiful challah formed into a circle with a wine bottle presented on a round flat plate and then covered with cellophane. It is a lovely presentation.

I've given challah wrapped in a dishtowel (ikea sells em cheap) in a gift bag (with a bottle of wine/grape juice). I think it has to be homemade, though for that to make sense.
These past few years, I've been making my mother a hamantash-shaped challah (3 long braids attached as a triangle with a round challah in the center, sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds for contrast). I use a cellophane bag for that one.

Even a regular challah will look lovely in a clear bag with a decorative tie. Look for Wilton bags at craft stores (I'm not sure of the largest size) or online at King Arthur Flour (definitely comes in large sizes).

Sorry to hijack but I bake a huge challah (5-6 pounds) for my parents' seudah. Any suggestions for presenting something so big?
