Any ideas for getting a girl into high school in boro park? My daughter is a top student, year book editor, involved in everything in school, good grades (mostly As, a couple of Bs) and has been rejected from every school we applied to except Bais Yaakov which has been refusing to give us an answer. All the other schools tell me their registration is closed. I have no yichus and no high level connections so I don't even know what to do now.

That must be so hard for her and you.

Have you tried calling Bais Yaakov to get a straight answer? They should be more open to accepting more girls- they started off as a community school. They usually get a great crowd of girls enrolled so they have good potential.

I did call BY, they said they are too busy dealing with the elementary now so they dont have time to deal with late high school applicants.

Can the Rabbi of your shul call for you? I'm dealing with a similar situation in my area and that's what I've been advised to try.

Also, the higher ups at my daughter's current school have sometimes been able to get answers out of high school admissions offices when I couldn't.
