$1100/mo rent, 1/1 and includes most utilities in a very nice condo building. Florida. We are expecting #3 BeH so we are planning to move to a 3/2 house which would cost us about $1600/mo to own.

Mortgage depends a lot on how much you put down (and what the rates were, and loan terms).

We just moved in to a very nice community in PA. Paid $135k for a 2800 sq 2-family. Our mortgage is $963 and we have a tenant who pays $750, so effectively we are paying $200 a month for a 3 br 1400 sq foot house. When the tenants lease is up we will use the whole house for ourselves.

WOW! That's great, good for you!

Washington Heights, Manhattan. Two bedroom, around 1,000 sq. ft. A bit less than $1400, some utilities included.
For Manhattan, we've got a good deal, but we look forward to finding a better value in the suburbs.

Montreal, Canada. We bought our 1000 sq ft triplex at the height of the housing crash.
Our mortgage + taxes + insurance is 2510$. Our two tenants pay a total of 2560$. So we're technically living for free. We have seriously outgrown our home and will be tapping into our substantial equity to purchase something bigger.

Is that for a rental or mortgage? Either way it sounds way too cheap
