Good idea, but we only have two ipads and we each like to relax with our own at night. I would rather just buy a mXhine if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

I just bbought the cheapest one - conair. It's good enough. It makes the noise, plugs in, has an option for batteries, and has an auto shutoff option. I bought 2, so I don't need to unplug when I go away.

There's one that's supposed ro be the best, but I didn't want to spend so much. I just checked, it's the Marpac Dohm.

I like Conair the best. It's cheap too. 14 bucks on amazon.

Sleep Easy Sound Conditioner, White Noise Machine

We have this one from amazon and absolutely love it. There are 2 settings but what I love is that you can also manually turn it to make it louder or quieter on Shabbos (works just like a shabbos lamp).

Another conair fan Smile
Another option is get a white noise machine with a projector like this :
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.....psc=1

You can also put wd40 on all squeaky places like doors and chairs to help minimize some noises.

I was looking into this one. It looked great, but all the reviews said it broke after a couple of months.

I bought this one - http://www.amazon.com/myBaby-S.....d_pi. It has a lot of useful features - my kids liked the projector, it has a lot of sounds, can be used as a nightlight, has a timer and ect... 2 people recommended it to me. It has held up for a few years so far but I feel bad that I got sidetracked by that stuff instead of focusing on what I really wanted - something that will drown out the noise when my baby slept. It did help, but I wished I had bought something that was a little louder than that. I did not look closly at the company, but my therapist office has ones that look like this http://www.amazon.com/Marpac-D.....chine outside the rooms. So I'm assuming they must be good. I wish I had bought that even though it costs more.

If you can find a machine that's cheap and good, I would say go for it, but it's worth spending a few more dollars if needed to save your sanity Smile

I do not have a normal place to put it. Its officially placed on the floor with the kids playing with it constantly, and it just broke after a year and a half. I don't call that bad quality at all. I expected it to break a hundred times before.

I have the marpac dohm, and I think it's so worth it! It has a fan inside so it makes a very soothing natural noise, unlike some of the machines that sound fake and irritating. My toddler and baby seem to really sleep better with it, and honestly I really find it relaxing as well.
