so it seems the price of milk went sky rocket to $5 a gallon (not cholov yisroel) - the news blamed it on the Australians low milk supply ... so where are your cows MOO?!?!?!

Silly...Everyone knows Israeli cows give the most milk...Even the Chinese are trying to learn from us...It also helps to stop paying for all that packaging and buy your milk in a BAG!!...And what happened to your pet cow anyway?!?!.....

So it's all over and not just my supermarket? The price jumped by a third overnight and is now twice what it was a year ago.

now it is 2.79 for a half gallon, a cow is only 550$ too bad I don't live in the country

yeah - the price of all dairy products went crazy.
I heard it was because they started using corn to make fuel. so now corn is in high demand and more pricey and that is in the stuff they feed to cows.

corn is now being made into ethanol which is being used for car fuel. this makes corn more in demand so prices for it go up. cows eat corn and since it is more expensive to feed them, anything that comes from them will be more expensive too.

thanks nomad...I got what you were saying the first time, but it still makes my head  We won't be able to afford to buy milk because we're trying to make sure we can afford to feed our cars! (I know it's not really like that - just sounded circular to me!)
