Night sweats

My six year old woke up at night drenched in sweat for the past few days.( room temp is cool) Should I be concerned?

Is the child on any type of healing process? One way the body gets rid of toxins is through sweating.

I would say that you should see a doctor. There's a chance it's nothing, but if it is connected to some underlying problem (even a minor one), the earlier the better.

Is it just sweating, or does he have a fever with it? Some kids have really good immune systems, and if they are exposed to a virus they can just sweat it out and not get truly sick. As long as his temperature is within normal range, or only slightly elevated, I would not worry.

You can install a small fan in his room, if it seems to be bothering him. Just keep a close eye on his temp, and call the doctor asap if it goes over 102 degrees F.
