Anyone make a good beef stew and can share the exact recipe pls? Thanks very much!

2 lbs beef stew
1 onion slices
8 oz mushrooms, quartered
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup beer
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
3 T onion soup mix
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook on low for 6-8 hrsj
