My son got a birthday invitation in his school. I didn't grow up in the US, so not sure what people do. What kind of gifts (if you even give) do you give for a 5 year old boy for a birthday party? the party is in the boy's house and I think they're having a magician.

A puzzle. Go into your local heimisha toy store. They'll have many suggestions for under $15-20 dollars. Or even less.

You can give anything you feel a 5 year old boy would enjoy.

Small lego set (the big ones are expensive)
