Decorate a picture frame, and put in the tefilla for challah or for candle-lighting.
You can get picture frames in the dollar store, and maybe women here can help you figure out what supplies to buy to decorate them.

We bought glass tea lights from ikea (49 cents each) and the girls painted them with glass paint (pebeo vitea). The paints are really easy to use and look beautiful even when the technique is poor.
