Kept in the fridge, the bottle says 7 days but that sounds very short to me.

I follow what it says on the bottle.
I use it only for baking so I buy the box drinks of it which are just about a cup. If I don't use the whole thing I write on it how much is left and freeze it

I draw the line about two weeks. Not saying it's advisable, just sharing what I do. The carton usually says 7-10 days and I'm sure they're just trying to cover themselves by leaning a little early.

I find it lasts longer than that. I smell it and taste it to see if its good.

This.
Bad soy milk has a sour smell and when you pour a little in a cup it will be thick and/or have clumps in it.

By the way, the kind you buy from the fridge will last a lot longer than the kind that comes in a box on the shelf. At least it claims to - the ones in the fridge say "use by_____" a number of weeks ahead, while the ones on the shelf say use within 7-10 days of opening (though experience says it often lasts at least a couple of weeks)
