Anyone know how to make it. I want to make it for my sons b/day but I'm clueless  I mean I have a great ice cream recipe but what else do I do?

you can make ice cream and buy or make cookies and make ice cream sandwiches and put them in the freezer

Cool idea never thought of that I'll try that but if I still want to make a cake could I use a crumble for a base. I have no recipe in my book for it

or I was just thinking, get a cookie crust and put the ice cream (not frozen) inside and freeze it that way.

I think she is looking for something that looks birthday cake like.....
idea 1:
use a spring form pan - press into it a crumb crust (graham cracker crumbs, marg and sugar) then take one flavor ice cream, leave out of freezer till just soften (dont allow to melt) and put a layer. Freeze for an hour, then continue with another flavor... do this using 3 different flavors freezing between each layer. Then allow the whole thing to freeze to firm. Cover the whole cake with whip cream including sides, then decorate.
idea 2:
bake a plain cake, type used for layer cakes and slice into 3 layers... fill each layer with another type of ice cream (again leave out of freezer to just soften) cover with softened ice cream or whip cream and freeze... decorate like birthday cake.

Yep Thanks I think I'm gonna try Chanies recipe for the b/day. U'rs I'll do 4 my sons bar mitzvah kiddush coz it sounds more adultish 8)
