My baby is a few weeks old and he loves to nurse. He will literaly nurse for an hour straight if I let him and then he'll spit up like crazy. If I stop feeding him after 20 min or so, he'll scream and refuse his pacifier. He's gaining fine and I have plenty of milk. It just seems like he doesn't know when he's full.
Is eating until overful and nonstop spitting up dangerous or bad for him?
Help! It's disgusting.

He is eating and then using you as a paci.
Stop him after 20 min or so if you want him to stop spitting up.
Its not dangerous or bad but I imagine its a huge drain on your time

I have reflux since im a baby and I spit up across the living room. Youre supposed to nurse for ten minutes & stop burp then continue nursing and repeat. Btw I still suffer from reflux & I cant drink milk or eat dairy. As I get congested.

It doesn't sound abnormal to me.
Try burping him more in between.

Momma has to eliminate dairy entirely.
Wait a bunch of days or so, see if that helps.

this suggestion is counter-productive for the long term, but maybe trying it a few times will help you identify what the problem is...
Maybe try pumping until you are half empty before a feeding and see if he is nursing just to suck or if he is getting frustrated that your milk is slower than usual.
If he just needs to take longer before realizing that he is full, you can try using a shield to keep the flow slower. (Doesn't solve the length of time for nursing, but will help with the spit up mess)
Have you tried different types of pacifiers? That's also something to try.

If I nurse him as long as he wants, he will be extremely happy and content. Playing, going to sleep beautifully, etc. if I pause him before he's ready to stop, he'll scream. It would make sense t let him nurse as long as he wants to be content, but the spitting up is insane. Is this the price to pay for a happy baby?

Spitting up is normal, unfortunately. If he's eating well and is happy otherwise, I would continue as is. Try to keep him upright for a little after feedings.
