Does wholewheat bread have less calories or just healthier? Does it help when trying to be careful with weight or bread is bread?
Very confused with all these calories.
Was going to eat crackers and realized that had the same calories as chocolate so decided to treat myself to the latter instead (I know crackers are carbs and therefore high calories, but should still be less fattening than chocolate!)

I can't answer your question about the calories. I think it all depends on the bread itself, but wholewheat is better for you if it's true wholewheat (and not like enriched flour). It's supposed to be more filling and healthier.
as for the crackers- they are more filling then chocolate and would have been a better choice. candy in general is just "empty" calories.

Strictly speaking when you're talking about weight loss it's a matter of how many calories you're consuming. Technically speaking, if you chose to eat 100 calories worth of chocolate you won't gain or lose any more weight compared to consuming 100 calories of whole wheat bread.
Nutritionally you're a lot better off eating healthy foods over junk food. Additionally, choosing chocolate over bread will cause you to remain hungry. Chances are you'll end up eating more than you anticipated anyway because you'll still be hungry.
